Join the Center's Resident Puppet Builder, Jason von Hinezmeyer, for a demonstration that introduces several ways of taking a 2D design and turning it into a 3D puppet through both subtractive and additive sculpting (wood, foam, & clay).
In PART 1, Jason demonstrated how to take a 2D drawing and create a pattern for use in PART II & PART III.
In PART II (Subtractive Sculpting: Wood), Jason demonstrated how to take the 2D head pattern created in PART I and create a wooden 3D head through subtractive sculpting.
In this session, PART III, Jason will show techniques of additive sculpting through the use of clay. Jason will always demostrate how to create a permanent pattern for your 3D design.
